Hi, I’m Tara!
I am a licensed counselor, former school counselor, mom of three, and wife to Jacob (for the last 18 years). I grew up in Franklin and we moved to Hendersonville 14 years ago, and I’m so thankful to be an active part of this community.
These are a few of my favorite things…
My family, reading, Mexican food, my back porch, sunsets, snuggling with my puppy (Ranger), campfires, our church, tiny homes, time on my hammock, listening to a storm roll in, and trips to the beach.
Words that others use to describe me…
Compassionate, down-to-earth, relatable, calm, genuine, trustworthy, and supportive.

My Therapeutic Values
-
Growth isn’t always easy, but even in life’s hardest moments, there is meaning and transformation.
-
Healing requires honesty, with ourselves and others. Sharing our true selves is an act of bravery.
-
We are wired for relationships. Feeling seen, heard, and valued is essential for our well-being.
-
Our feelings help us identify our needs. Emotions are not something to avoid. They are signals that guide us toward deeper understanding.
-
The first step of growth is knowing ourselves—our patterns, needs, and desires. Change starts with awareness.
-
Breaking cycles and letting go of unhelpful narratives and beliefs create space for healing and growth.
-
Healing begins with hope—the belief that where we are now is not the final chapter.
